1. Data controller
The controller of this website (tuprofeluis.com) and of your data is Luis Fernández, a Spanish teacher based in Rome (Italy).
Contact: luisf.spanishlessons@gmail.com · WhatsApp +39 366 905 0198.
2. What data is processed
- Browsing: the site has no forms, requires no sign-up and uses no analytics or advertising tools.
- Level test and exercises: they are anonymous. Your answers are calculated in your browser and are not sent to or stored on any server.
- When you write to me: if you contact me on WhatsApp or by email, I process the data you send me (name, phone number or email, level, goals and the content of your message). If you send me your test result, you do so voluntarily.
- If you book lessons: the data needed to organise the lessons and handle payment (for example, the name of the PayPal or Revolut account holder, or on the bank transfer).
- Hosting technical data: the provider that hosts the site may log technical connection data, such as your IP address, for security reasons (see section 4).
3. Why and on what legal basis
- Replying to your messages and arranging the trial lesson: pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Teaching the lessons and handling payments: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and compliance with legal obligations, such as tax (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- Security and operation of the site: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
I don’t use your data to send you advertising, and I don’t sell it or pass it on to third parties.
4. Third-party services
- GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.): hosts the site and may log IP addresses for security. See its privacy statement.
- WhatsApp (Meta) and Gmail (Google): if you choose to contact me through these channels, their privacy policies also apply.
- Google Meet: the platform where the lessons take place.
- PayPal, Revolut or your bank: for payments.
- Preply: if you click the links to my profile, you leave this site and Preply’s policy applies.
The fonts are hosted on this site itself: your browser doesn’t connect to Google Fonts.
5. How long data is kept
Messages are kept for as long as we work together and, afterwards, for the time needed to deal with any possible liabilities. Payment data is kept for as long as tax law requires. You can ask me to delete your messages at any time.
6. Your rights
You can ask for access to, rectification or erasure of your data, restriction of processing and portability, and you can object to processing, by writing to me at luisf.spanishlessons@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali; in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.
7. Cookies
This site uses no analytics or advertising cookies. It only stores your cookie choice in your browser (local storage), so it doesn’t ask you again on every page.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| tpl-consent | Essential · local storage | Remembers whether you accepted, rejected or chose essential only. | Until you delete it |
- Reject or Essential only: the site works just the same; only your choice is stored.
- Accept all: today it doesn’t switch on anything else. If I add an anonymous statistics tool in the future, it will only load if you’ve accepted, and I’ll say so on this page.
You can change your choice at any time: .
8. Changes
If I change this policy (for example, when adding a new tool), I’ll update this page and the date above.
